The Research Collective is a dedicated marketing research agency, run by our team of research specialists, focusing on qualitative, quantitative and customer-focused research as well as impact evaluation research (something quite different and really unique). Impact evaluation quantifies the financial impact, that a change to any element of a company’s mix (e.g. a new product or a change to packaging or price) will likely have on its sales volumes.

Joel Serman – Marketing Director
Joel brings fifteen years of experience in both marketing and market research to Research Collective. His experience spans a vast corporate spectrum and includes some of South Africa’s most prominent and well-known brands.
Joel also lectures on both marketing strategy and market research, has twice been named as one of the top 5 marketing strategists in South Africa by the National Business Awards and has been named a Shoprite Group supplier of the year.
Daniel Serman – Operations Director
Daniel is an operations specialist focusing on both the data collection and management of the business. Having been involved in Operations and Logistics for 14 years he offers a wealth of knowledge, insight and understanding into how to tackle each of our unique and individual projects.
He is responsible for our teams on the ground and ensuring that our quality standards are maintained throughout.
He is a founding member of Research Collective having previously served as a director of an International brands company.
Kerri Brick – Research Director
Kerri Brick has a PhD in Economics and a background in conducting academic research, with a broad focus on behavioural economics and impact evaluation. Kerri’s skillset includes designing surveys, field experiments and Randomised Control Trials and analysing and reporting the research findings. Her interest is in applying these tools in a corporate context.
